Sleight of Hand Food and Drink
Food
This month we went with a 1920s combined with a magic theme. So we took household dishes from the twenties with a surprise twist.
First we have Mini Meatloaf Surprise for dinner. This can be cooked as a whole loaf or as individual loafs or “puffs.” For desert we have an easy to make Icebox cake, again with a surprise in the middle.

DRINK
To drink we have three cocktails and Tarragon Lemonade. Three out of the four drinks (including the non-alcoholic Lemonade) can be color changing with addition of B’lure Flower Extract (You can buy it here on Amazon). Starting with the Lemonade, we included a recipe with a twist, Tarragon for extra flavor. If you prefer, you can use fresh mint instead. It will take you the longest, at about 30 minutes to prepare a batch.
If you want to use the color changing B’lure Flower Extract, you will need to pour the lemonade over something with the extract in it. Ice water works, but so does Ice Tea if you want to make an Arnold Palmer from the Agency box.
The first alcoholic drink we have is a gin / Champaign cocktail that was highly popular in the 1920s. Brought back from France during World War I, the French 75 is named after a machine gun, but meant to water down and make bottles of Champaign last. The drink card was written so that you could make it color change as well.
The Presto Chango Martini is a color changing take on the classic Martini.
Finally, the Swirling Magic is a Vodka, Cherry, and Orange concoction that sparkles like a clear starry night. You will need edible pearl dust (like this on Amazon) to get the effect though.
All drinks can be made without the special ingredients listed, they just add extra fun.
