This month for dinner, we have Egyptian Hawawshi – kind of like an Egyptian hamburger! For a side or the whole meal, if you prefer, we have Egyptian Lentils and Rice. For dessert, we have Basbousa, a sweet cake.

This month we have the Suffering Bastard, a drink with a history dating back to World War II that is very fascinating. In short, this was the best drink that the British troops could get while fighting the Nazis in North Africa.  Part bourbon, part gin, all anti-Nazi!   The second drink is a sherry-based Cairo Sun.  Finally, our nonalcoholic drink is Qamar Al-deen juice – A apricot flavored beverage.
